As an illustrator, my work is a reflection of my passion for traditional and digital mediums. My goal is to create visually impactful illustrations that explore themes of nature, character development, and children's literature. As a senior at Savannah College of Art and Design, I am excited to bring my skills and experience to a career in children's books, advertising, editorial, and album cover illustrations. I am also a dedicated team member, known for my ability to generate new ideas and solve problems. As an artist, my passion lies in creating visual art that tells a story and evokes emotion. My artistic talents were fostered from a young age and I've continued to explore and develop my skills through a variety of mediums and techniques. With a particular interest in children's literature, nature and character development, my work reflects my unique perspective and creative vision.
My art has been influenced by many role models, including my great-great uncle, Wilhelm Johan Meling, a Norwegian artist who painted murals in the city hall of Oslo, Norway, and was recruited to assist painting the mural in the United Nations council chamber room in New York.
After graduating from County College of Morris with an associate degree in Visual Arts in the spring of 2021, I interned with a producing brand, LiveTheLakeNJ, where I focused on creating social media visuals and content for Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram. Now, as a student at Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia, I am focusing on gaining the hard and soft skills necessary for a successful career in the illustration industry. I am open to taking commissions and working on new projects.
