Mood board

Researching is a key element in my process, collecting a mood I want to go for, or a style, technique, inspiration, etc.

Rui Ricardo's work helped me visualize where I wanted my artwork to go.

Rough sketches

I started Ideating what the best and most organized scenario of puzzling together what would look the most sequenced

Value Comps

Next, I looked at what the map could look like in value, making sure all the businesses, the lake and the the text would be readable which is extremely crucial in a map.

Color Comps

I played a lot more with colors than I normally tend to do, just to see what might pop the best and work with the nature of the lake as well

Traditional Media

Getting down to the nitty gritty of things, I have taken it upon myself to paint all the contents in acrylic paint

Digitizing

Once I painted all the contents, I scanned them then pieced them together in photoshop adding type in all the known areas on the lake!
