Since I've decided to create a fun, colorful psychedelic album cover, I had to ideate different alternatives sinces theres so much that I could potentially do. I drew 20 ideas in my sketchbook all about 4x5 inches.
Color Comps
After falling in love with one of the sketches, I then used markers and made a variety of ideas.
Line Drawing
Having selected my color comp, which was ultimately the second to last color comp with a purple background, I drew specifics on my canvas to get ready to start painting!
Process Work
Through out my painting process, I found it fun seeing it unfinished in areas whereas other areas are very much rendered.
Acrylic Final
The rendering on the 19" x 24" canvas was now finished. I was incredibly happy with how it looked, and couldn't wait to put it in Photoshop.
